Action
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do... so throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour, catch the trade winds in your sails... dream, explore, discover.

Happiness
Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.

Persistence
Like any dream, you have to start by believing that you can do it. You don't quite know how it will turn out but you start anyway. Discipline is your best friend. If you have the discipline to write two pages every day, after 150 days, you have 300 pages. I actually use this in my speeches to show students how important discipline is. Something small, writing two pages, if done repeatedly can become something big, a 300-page book. That's my motto for success: dream big, do small, every day.

Worth
Be aware of your own worth, use all of your power to achieve it. Create an ocean from a dewdrop. Do not beg for light from the moon, obtain it from the spark within you.

Need
Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Life
Life is a field and you are born to cultivate it. And if you know how to cultivate this field you can produce anything you like. All the need of your life can be produced in this field. All that your soul yearns after and all you need is to be got from the field, if you know how to cultivate it and how to reap the fruit.

Ability
If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.

Work
In order that people may be happy in their work, these three things are needed: they must be fit for it; they must not do too much of it; and they must have a sense of success in it.
